About Me
I worked on 72 Sqdn at RAF Leconfield fas an Air Radar Mechanic or a short time before it disbanded before I moved to 92 Sqdn, the RAF aerobatic Team (The Blue Diamonds) Went on my fitters course at RAF Yatesbury and then became an Air Radar Fitter (Bomber). Worked at RAF Conningsby on Vulcans and when the station closed and moved to RAF Cottesmore I was posted to RAF St Athan. I then moved to RAF Sealand and was demobbed there. I returned to work at Sealand as a civilian sevicing a range of aerbourne radar and wireless equipment. I am now retired. Post a CommentOops!The words you entered did not match the given text. I was known as Gus throughout my service life and afterwards. Still known by some people.
Hi John, just received your email about non-communication. The only way someone will respond to your post is if they click on your member photo/name and read the message. It is then up to the individual to respond (or not). It is sometimes useful to include you full name on the post rather than John AA. With the passage of years we all change a bit (Less hair, no teeth etc!) and though they might not recognise the face they may recall you name. Stick with it, someone from you era will send you a message sooner or later.
