Looks like very early Wessex - I did not see them until 67 My only time at El Adem was 1963 stopover on my repat from FEAF

And so it was decided that we should all up sticks and go to El Adem for operation Dazzle in 1965. Not only did we have to up sticks but we also had to take that silly b****y silly blow up tent in the background as a trial. Trial being the operative word as we had to drive 3 foot metal stakes into the rock as anchors for the inflatible sausages. MOD have had some really silly ideas and this was one of their best. The aircraft by the way for you fixed wing types is a Wessex.
