About Me

Hello All,

I am now 55 going on Eleventeen.

I reside on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia.

I came here in 1968 with my Mum and Little Sister on the Fairstar as a 10.00 Pound Pom.

My Father was John Richard McLean from Douglas, the Isle of Man.

He was a Photographer and he passed in 1964 when I was 5yo.

I miss him Greatly.

Only fairly recently I discovered that he had a First Family in Douglas where, I remember Dad took me when I was 3 to meet my Paternal Grandparents.

I discovered that he had a Daughter and Son from his first Family.

I believe that 'Kenneth John McLean' was a Pilot in the 72nd Squadron and was Killed Test Flying a Meteor Jet that clipped another Meteor Jet Falling into the River Ouse Drowning him.

I think the other Pilots were OK.

I have searched for pictures of him and my Dad, (who was a Photographer btw,) with no success.

Any Information you may have would be Greatly Apprecciated.

Much Love

Cassandra McLean
