About Me

Joined RAF as Boy Entrant 1957 RAF Cosford -  posted to Wyton ending up on 58 Squadron Canberras then Seletar 1960 on to Gan 62. Was on 34 Squadron, 1124 MCU and ARSF at Seletar. No real connection with CK but Seletar used to send people there during exercise - I always ended up at Pearls Hill - probably a better option from what I heard?

Thorney Island 1963/65 including Fitters Course at Yatesbury. Then 64 Squadron Binbrook, 228 OCU Leuchars and I was on 72 Squadron between 1967/70 - having spent 68/69 with Zambian Air Force - then on to 18 Squadron in 1970. Seconded to SOAF with "Jock" Tarwid and his Merry Mercenaries in 1974.

Posted 230 Squadron 1975/77, then Marham 57 Squadron 1977/78 returning to Odiham and finishing up on 240 OCU.

Secured a job in South Africa but immigration stopped so went on CAA licence course at Brunel Tech. Got a job in Elstree but decided Zimbabwe was sunnier! Left Zim in 1987 for Saudi Arabia - 10 years iwith BAe and then onto Al Ain, UAE leaving in 1999 and working in RAF Valley. Finally returning to Hampshire and working for Compassion in World Farming - Retired April 2009.
